Our Methodist history is rooted in the teachings and practices if John Wesley the belief is the Trinity (Father, So and Holy Spirit); the centrality of grace; personal and social holiness; and the primacy of Scripture, along with tradition, reason, and experience for practical and theological discernment. Wesley's General Rules guide our behavior: 1) Do no harm 2) Do good 3) Stay in love with God.
